Chaitanya P. Puranik, B.D.S., M.S., M.Dent.Sci., Ph.D. is an Associate Professor and Director of Pediatric Dental Residency Program Department of Pediatric Dentistry, University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, and the Children’s Hospital Colorado.
Dr. Puranik is a Diplomate of American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He received his dental degree from India. He completed his master’s in dental Biomaterials from The State University of New York at Buffalo. Later, he earned his doctoral degree in Oral Biology, Certificate in Operative Dentistry, and Cariology Post-doctoral Certificate from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Puranik completed his Pediatric Dental training and Craniofacial Fellowship from the University of Connecticut. He has served on various leadership positions at state, national and international levels and has published various articles in peer-review journals. He has successfully applied for US patents for his novel dental materials that prevents dental caries and promotes pulpal healing.
