Dr. Yu-Yin Lin, DDS, MS is a Pediatric Dentistry Resident at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. She received the dental degree from Chung Shan Medical University, Taiwan, and was awarded Best Intern of the year. She then completed the General Dentistry training before entering the Pediatric Dentistry specialty training in Taichung Veterans General Hospital, Taiwan. To further extend her interests and enthusiasm in Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Lin moved to Birmingham, Alabama. She obtained the certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, where she also received her Master of Science in Dentistry degree.
She was involved in the university-based and hospital-based clinical services, with external outreach such as Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, Tuscaloosa County Department of Health, and community dental services for providing dental care to the underserved children. Dr. Lin was also actively engaged in the research activities including dental materials study and policy evaluation with Alabama Medicaid. She will continue her academic path by staying in the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry as a full-time clinical instructor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry.
