This qualitative study explores the influences of parental attitudes, beliefs, and practices on oral hygiene in children under three years of age, focusing on prevention of Early Childhood Caries (ECC). Utilizing semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions, the research identifies key factors affecting oral health behaviors, including cultural beliefs and knowledge gaps. The findings aim to inform the development of educational interventions to enhance parental understanding and promote better oral hygiene practices among young children.
