UCSF Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Khasawneh is currently completing her Pediatric Dentistry residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and recently earned her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from San José State University. Dedicated to improving dental care access and experiences for vulnerable populations, her research focuses on the experiences of parents of children with Autism as they navigate the oral healthcare system.
Throughout her training, Dr. Khasawneh has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service and public health and currently serves as the Outreach Chief at UCSF Pediatric Dentistry. She has actively coordinated dental clinics serving refugee communities and helped organize volunteer-driven initiatives. Dr. Khasawneh's work emphasizes compassion, inclusivity, and evidence-based practice.
Her current research, presented here at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), aims to enhance understanding of the unique challenges and insights of parents navigating dental care for children with autism, ultimately seeking to inform and improve clinical practices and patient experiences.
