Kendra Petite, DMD, MSW, is a second year pediatric dental resident at University of Texas Health Science Center- Houston. She was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. She received her BA in Sociology from the College of Wooster and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Cincinnati. After spending time as a child and adolescent mental health therapist and serving as a student affairs professional at several colleges and universities, Kendra earned her dental degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She served as a general dentist in the United States Army Dental Corp and in a community health center for several years prior to specializing in pediatric dentistry. After graduation, Kendra plans to split her time serving in private practice and community health. Kendra enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, reading, and singing and dancing to hits from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s.
