Kulsum was born and raised in the dynamic city of Dubai, where she developed a strong foundation for her future aspirations. Her journey in the world of dentistry began when she earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Pakistan. After graduation, she returned to the UAE, where she worked as a general dentist, gaining valuable experience in the field.
Driven by a desire to further her education and expertise, Kulsum moved to Singapore to pursue a Master of Science in Dentistry, refining her skills and deepening her knowledge. Her career then took another exciting turn when her husband received a job offer in the United States, prompting her to relocate and embark on the next chapter of her life.
In 2023, Kulsum completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at Tufts University, a significant milestone in her journey. Alongside her professional accomplishments, Kulsum has a deep passion for working with children, a passion fueled by her own experience as a mother of two. This led her to pursue a residency in pediatric dentistry.
Currently, Kulsum is enjoying her time as a pediatric dental resident at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where she is further honing her skills and making a meaningful impact on the lives of her young patients. Her diverse journey across different countries and her love for helping others, particularly children, continue to inspire her as she advances in her career.
