Daniel Aclan, DMD, a native of the Bay Area, pursued his Doctor of Dental Medicine at WesternU College of Dental Medicine in Pomona, California. It was here that his passion for organized dentistry took root. Actively engaged with grassroots initiatives through the California Dental Association, he participated in state and national lobby days to enhance access to dental care and advocate for reducing health disparities among at-risk populations.
Dr. Aclan's dedication to community outreach is exemplified by his coordination of events such as Healthy Smiles at the Special Olympics. These events provided services including oral health screenings, fluoride treatments, and the fabrication of mouth guards for athletes with special needs.In recognition of his clinical skills and commitment to leadership, Dr. Aclan was honored with the East West Scholarship of clinical excellence during his dental education. His career is marked by a profound commitment to improving oral health and making a tangible difference in his community.
Dr. Aclan is a resident 2nd year pediatric denal resident at NYU Langone Health - San Diego. As a resident he is the Warren Brandli Leadership Intern for the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and has traveled the country to advocate for the pediatric coummunity in Sacramento and Washington DC. When he is not treating or advocating for patients he loves working out, golfing and busting a groove on the dance floor!
