Jay is a third-year dental student with a strong passion for public health and hospital-based pediatric dentistry. His clinical experiences have deepened his commitment to improving access to equitable, comprehensive care for underserved and medically complex pediatric populations. He is particularly interested in integrating preventive strategies and health education into community and hospital settings to promote long-term oral health outcomes.
Outside of clinic, Jay has been involved in community outreach programs serving as a liasion for the American Association of Public Health Dentisry and interprofessional initiatives aimed at reducing health disparities by bridging gaps through social determinants of health. His goal is to pursue a pediatric dental residency where he an continue to advocate for vulnerable populations and contribute to interdisciplinary care in both academic and hospital environments and will serve the National Health Service Corps upon graduation from residency.
