Hanan Naser was born on September 17, 1992 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She graduated from C. Milton Wright High school in Bel Air, Maryland in 2011. She subsequently received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2015. In 2020, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia. She then pursued a one year general practice residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. After receiving her certificate, she went on to work in private practice settings as well as being the lead general dentist at a detention facility in Arlington, Virginia. After 2 years of working as a general dentist, she went back to Virginia Commonwealth University to pursue residency in pediatric dentistry in the Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry Program. There, she received a certificate and a Masters in Science of Dentistry degree upon completion of the program in 2025.
