Jennifer Staab currently works at Children’s Hospital Colorado as the Clinical Practice Specialist for the Integrative and Creative Care Department. Her research interests include identifying the factors associated with children experiencing elevated distress in the healthcare setting and evaluating the efficacy of child life services. Jennifer developed the Psychosocial Risk Assessment in Pediatrics with a colleague and the Pediatric Emotional Safety Screener to provide child life specialist with validated, evidenced-based tools to use for screening and assessing which patients are most vulnerable to experiencing elevated distress during their healthcare encounter.
