Dr. Bernadita A. Manglona, D.D.S. University of California, Los Angeles
Dr. Bernie was born and raised in the Mariana Islands. Her passion for health and service led her across the Pacific to the University of Washington, Seattle, where she studied Public Health and Biology. After a period of soul searching, she discovered her true calling in dentistry and went on to pursue her dental education at the University of California, San Francisco. At UCSF, Dr. Bernie worked with diverse communities across Northern California, many of which faced health disparities similar to those in her island home. These experiences deepened her commitment to providing equitable and compassionate care. After dental school, she moved to New York City to complete a General Practice Residency at New YorK Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Bernie continued to serve the Brooklyn community with dedication and resilience. Her time in family practice across Brooklyn and Queens sparked a deep interest in pediatric dentistry. Today, she is proud to be part of the Bruin community and to serve pediatric patients and their families across the greater Los Angeles area.
Dr. Bernie is passionate about creating a dental sanctuary where children feel safe, valued, and empowered. Her goal is to provide high-quality, comfortable, and compassionate care while helping children and their caregivers build a strong foundation for lifelong oral health.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Bernie enjoys exploring local markets and experimenting in the kitchen. She also finds joy in pottery, jewelry making, and peaceful walks in nature.
