Associate Professor /Chief of Pediatric Services at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry


Teaches didactic and clinical courses in Pediatric Dentistry. Additional responsibilities including chair or member of many standing committees. Published scientific articles and presents continual education courses. A member of numerous national and international professional organizations and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Atwan is an examiner at the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and an attending staff at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Her Professional special research interest focused in the medicament of the pulp and prevention.

Dr. Atwan received her D.D.S. from the University of Detroit Mercy, her M.S. and a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a Certificate of Dentistry for the Disabled from the University of Washington/Seattle .Proficient dental professional with 20 years of experience in full time commitment to academic dentistry and private practice. Dr. Atwan is self-motivated, Passionate, Authentic, And Genuine and have a strong innovation vision
