Born and raised in Cuba, I began my journey in dentistry with a deep passion for helping others and a commitment to clinical excellence. I earned my dental degree in 2015, and shortly after, I moved to the United States to continue pursuing my professional dreams.
Upon arriving in the U.S., I worked as a dental assistant while dedicating myself to preparing for the dental boards. It was a challenging yet rewarding chapter that taught me resilience, adaptability, and reinforced my love for the field. I was incredibly fortunate to be accepted into the Advanced Standing Program at Boston University, where I graduated with high honors in 2022.
Following graduation, I returned to Florida and began practicing as a general dentist in Naples, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in comprehensive care over the course of eight months. During that time, my passion for working with children continued to grow—leading me to apply for a pediatric dentistry residency.
Today, I am proud to be in my second year of postdoctoral training in Pediatric Dentistry at Nova Southeastern University. Every day, I’m driven by the opportunity to make dental care a positive and empowering experience for children and their families. My journey has been filled with perseverance, growth, and gratitude—and I’m excited for all that lies ahead in this ever-evolving and rewarding profession.
