Dr. Lourdes I. Guerra Guajardo is a Pediatric Dentistry Resident at the University of Puerto Rico, with a professional and academic background that bridges clinical excellence and community engagement. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Universidad de Monterrey, followed by a Master of Education with a focus on Innovation and Educational Technology, reflecting her commitment to patient-centered care and teaching.
Dr. Guerra completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate program at the University of Connecticut, where she further strengthened her skills in comprehensive care and interdisciplinary collaboration. Her current research investigates the relationship between obesity, sweetened beverage consumption, and dental caries among children—highlighting the intersection of oral and systemic health and the importance of preventive strategies in pediatric populations.
Throughout her career, Dr. Guerra has participated in international observerships, collaborated on scientific publications, and volunteered extensively in underserved communities. She has participated in educational brigades and health fairs across Mexico and the U.S.
