Amber Courtney is a second-year pediatric dental resident at The Ohio State University/Nationwide Children's Hospital. Originally from North Carolina, she received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a Medical Concentration from Wake Forest University in 2018, a Master of Science in Physiology from North Carolina State University in 2019, and a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2023. After being diagnosed with Type I Diabetes at a young age, Amber was inspired to work in healthcare after being shown compassion, love and endless care from all her providers. The changes in oral health secondary to a new illness piqued an interest to pursue a dental career and help bridge the gap between oral and general health. Amber is planning to stay in Ohio to practice full-time at an FQHC near Cincinnati. Amber has a passion to serve and is looking forward to a career in this wonderful profession, advocating and impacting the lives of any child she is blessed to work with.
