My name is Rose Shakib and I was born and raised in New York. I completed dental school at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2023 and proceeded to begin my residency in pediatric dentistry at Nova Southeastern University shortly afterwards. I am currently a second year resident and hope to stay in Miami following graduation. As a pediatric dentistry resident, I have had the privilege of working closely with children with special healthcare needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). These experiences have deepened my understanding of the unique behavioral and sensory challenges that patients may face in a dental setting.
