Alexander (Alex) Dyke is a predoctoral dental student at the University of New England College of Dental Medicine (UNE CDM). He serves as the President for Special Care Dentistry Association for UNE, Vice President of the Pediatric Intrested Dental Student organization, and sits on the Board of Trustees for Graduates at the University of New England.
Beyond academics, Alex is committed to improving access to care for underserved populations. Alex is spearheading Signs for Smiles – ASL for Dental Professionals, an initiative aimed at bridging communication gaps for patients who are deaf or hard of hearing. Additionally, Alexander is a finalist in the 2024 Maine AHEC Case Competition, working on innovative solutions to address the oral health needs of the New Mainer community. Lastly, he is comitted to providing care to underserved populations through the National Health Service Corps Scholarship.
Alex has presented on topics ranging from interprofessional pediatric asthma management, teledentistry use for families and children, and oral healthcare policy implementation. With aspirations of specializing in pediatric dentistry, they are dedicated to fostering inclusive, patient-centered care and advancing the field through research, education, and community outreach.
