Nowadays most of the pediatric psychologist convince the parents to motivate their children for brushing from non dominant hand to activate the opposite side of brain to improve the cognitive function and memory. Psychologists are not aware of oral hygiene conditions of the children and how the use of non dominant hand affects the oral hygiene condition of the children, so in my presentation I will focus on this highly important aspect.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion , participant will be able to evaluate whether using non- dominant hand affects brushing effectiveness, plaque removal, and overall oral hygine in children.
Upon completion, participants will be able to uderstand that how using the non- dominant hand could affect the child' s fine motor skill and coodination, particularly in brushing teeth
Upon completion, “Participants will understand that encouraging children to brush with both hands may improve ambidexterity and support brain plasticity.”
