Through a series of cases with long-term follow times (5-11 years), this presentation will demonstrate treatment options for maintaining pulp vitality in developmental, traumatic or pathological conditions. The central theme of the presentation and running through all the cases is to highlight the fact that conservative treatment options that maintain pulp vitality in permanent teeth of young, mixed-, early-permanent-dentition stage children, are physiologically preferable, less invasive and financially advantageous to the patients.
Learning Objectives:
Manage traumatic tooth fractures with pulp exposure conservatively without endodontic treatment
Manage fused or geminated incisors conservatively without endodontic treatment
Manage impacted or ectopic permanent canines conservatively with autotransplantation without endodontic treatment
