Rhabdomyosarcoma is the most common soft tissue sarcoma in children (Medscape, 2022). Root resorption has been observed in patients with this type of cancer after their oncologic treatment. There is limited evidence about the possibility that rhabdomyosarcoma is responsible for dental root resorption (Kawait et al., 2000). A 5-year-old female patient diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma of the right eye was evaluated by our pediatric dental on-call team to provide dental clearance to start chemotherapy. She presented with idiopathic root resorption in her mandibular first primary molars. The case report highlights the possibility that rhabdomyosarcoma may cause idiopathic root resorption.
